Pecan Storage
Whole Pecans (in the shell)
Whole pecans can be stored up to six months when refrigerated or three months in a cool dry place away from light in airtight containers. Pecans can be frozen unshelled in a sealed plastic bag or container up to a year.
Shelled Pecans
Shelled pecans can be stored up to six months in a refrigerator or over a year and up to two years when placed in a freezer in a sealed plastic bag or container.
